Concrete polishing is a mechanical process that transforms existing concrete into a smooth, glossy, durable floor — without applying any coating. Using progressively finer diamond abrasives, we grind, hone, and polish the concrete surface to expose the natural stone aggregate within, then harden it from the inside with a chemical densifier.

Unlike epoxy or resin coatings that sit on top of concrete, polished concrete is the concrete itself — refined and strengthened. The densifier penetrates deep into the slab, creating a chemical reaction that permanently hardens and dust-proofs the surface. The result is a floor that's incredibly durable, reflects light beautifully (reducing lighting costs by up to 30%), and requires almost no maintenance beyond occasional damp mopping.

1. Initial Assessment: We evaluate your concrete's condition — checking for cracks, spalls, existing coatings, and aggregate exposure potential. Not all concrete is suitable for polishing; we'll tell you honestly if a coating would be a better fit.

2. Coating Removal (if needed): Any existing paint, epoxy, adhesive, or mastic is mechanically removed with coarse diamond tooling.

3. Coarse Grinding: Starting with 30–40 grit diamonds, we remove surface imperfections and expose the aggregate to your desired level (salt-and-pepper, medium, or full aggregate exposure).

4. Crack & Joint Repair: All cracks, control joints, and saw cuts are filled with semi-rigid epoxy filler matched to the concrete color.

5. Densifier Application: A liquid lithium or sodium silicate densifier is applied and allowed to penetrate. It chemically reacts with the calcium hydroxide in the concrete to form calcium silicate hydrate — permanently hardening and dust-proofing the slab.

6. Progressive Polishing: We move through progressively finer diamond grits — 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, and 3000 — each stage refining the surface further.

7. Stain-Guard Sealer: A penetrating sealer is applied to protect against stains and moisture while maintaining the natural appearance and breathability of the concrete.

8. Final Burnishing: A high-speed burnisher with a diamond-impregnated pad brings the floor to its final reflective sheen.
